How do I use a wood chipper?

Before using the machine, it is important to check that the input is empty. Remaining wood chips can prevent the machine from starting. Also check that all bolts and nuts are properly tightened and ensure that the emergency stop is not pressed before starting the machine.

Point the deflector and/or turnable output towards the location where you want the wood chips and start the motor. Insert the branches into the input and release them when they are pulled in. Fresh wood is chipped most smoothly. It is therefore recommended to process the branches shortly after pruning.
Side branches thicker than 3 cm (2 cm for the 600 series) are best removed beforehand and fed in separately. Thick branches must be fed in one by one and in a controlled manner. Ensure that the motor speed does not drop too low.
Are you finished? Then let the machine run empty for another 30 seconds to ensure that no wood chips have been left behind in the rotor housing. Are you using the wood chipper for the first time? Then please read the user manual first and observe the safety instructions.
